MSSD hires news SRO

Monday evening, the Mineral Springs School Board approved the transfer of $299,884 from the district’s general fund to the district’s building fund in compliance with Act 1105.

The board also approved a consulting contract in the amount of $74,100. Superintendent Billy Lee said the cost will be covered by learning loss Covid funds. He said the reading and math programs will benefit students in the third through eighth grades.

Board members also accepted the resignation of School Resource Officer Alex Gamble and they voted to hire Britney Rosenbaum as the new SRO.

Rosenbaum has been a SRO since 2016 and is currently working in the Genoa School District, however she lives in Mineral Springs and has two children and one step-child who attend the Mineral Springs School District
