Nashville School District Receives Combined $68,900 for Assessment Results

The Arkansas Department of Education’s Division of Elementary and Secondary Education has announced that nearly $6.9 million will be awarded to 159 public schools throughout Arkansas as part of the School Recognition Program. This program recognized the top 10% of schools that achieve high student performance on the state-required assessments in grades 3 through 10.

Awards are also given to the top 10% of public schools that achieve high student academic growth, including high school graduation rates where applicable. Awards announced today are based on assessment results from the 2020-21 school year. We’re happy to announce that our very own Nashville School District is a recipient of multiple awards.

Nashville Elementary will receive $20,100

Nashville Primary will receive $27,300

Nashville High School will receive $21,500

This accomplishment is a testament to the good things happening within the Nashville School District and as Sarah McKenzie, Executive Director for the Office for Education Policy at the University of Arkansas put it, “Growth is the best indicator of the positive impact that a school is having on its students”
