Scrapperettes Get Win Over Ashdown

Sophomores Ellen Spigner and Isabella Dixon led the Nashville Scrapperettes in a 16-6 win at Ashdown Thursday afternoon in a non-confernce softball game. Spigner and Dixon each had three hits yesterday. They also drove in four runs a piece. The Scrapperettes held a 13-1 lead into the bottom of the 5th inning but Ashdown scored five times in that inning to cut into Nashville’s lead.

Macie Goff was Nashville’s starting pitcher. She went four innings, giving up four runs on six hits. Goff struck out four Ashdown batters. Mattison Steele pitched thee innings in relief, striking out seven batters.

The win improves Nashville’s record to 9-0.
