Murder investigation underway in Pike County

The apparent murder of a 63 year-old Pike County woman is under investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and Arkansas State Police. The body of Theresa Humphry was found at her home Tuesday morning.
Pike County Sheriff’s Deputies located the body at 307 Billstown Road in Delight and requested the Arkansas State Police to assist them in the criminal investigation.
A 39 year-old man has been taken into custody and is being held at the Pike County Jail while the investigation continues. State Police Investigators expect to submit information to the Pike County prosecuting attorney for the consideration of formal charges.
Humphry’s body is is being transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for determination of the manner and cause of death.
