No injuries reported from plane accident at HC Airport

No injuries were reported from a Monday morning accident involving a plane that was attempting to land at the Howard County Airport, north of Nashville.  According to Howard County Sheriff Bryan McJunkins, deputies were notified of a plane that ran off the end of the airport’s runway.  After responding and speaking with the pilot, deputies determined that weather conditions caused limited visibility.  After touching down, the plane ran off the end of the runway and went through a chain link fence.  The pilot and passenger were not injured.

According to Federal Aviation Administration records, the plane is a fixed wing single engine Cirrus SR22, and is registered to Steve Harrelson of Little Rock.  Substantial damage was done to the plane, according to information from the F.A.A.
