Residents Told To Be Careful Of COVID-19 Scam

The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management is warning state residents about a scam that has begun related to COVID-19.

State officials say they have received reports concerning individuals who are impersonating employees of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These individuals are going door to door offering COVID-19 testing in exchange for money and personal information. There is no door to door testing being done.

Officials say if you encounter someone claiming to provide this testing at your residence, contact the Arkansas Attorney General’s office at 1-800-482-8982.
