Scrapperettes reclaim first place in 7-4A conference

The Nashville Scrapperettes reclaimed possession of first place in the 7-4A Conference softball standings Thursday afternoon, with a six to nothing road win at Bauxite.  The teams split the two game regular season series, with the Lady Miners getting a victory earlier this year at Nashville. Should Nashville and Bauxite remain tied for first place the rest of the season, the Scrapperettes would be the top seed heading into the regional tournament in a few weeks, due to the runs total by both teams in the head to head competition.

Following yesterday’s game, Coach Boomer Brown talked about the difference between the two games against Bauxite:

The Scrapperettes will host their annual Scrapaganza fund raiser today, and return to competition next week.
