Delight woman arrested for drug possession

On July 2nd around 1:40am, Deputy Chris Gates conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck for no tag lights. The suspect was identified as 51-year-old Candy Kane Lamb of Delight.

According to the affidavit, Gates asked Lamb for her driver’s license and that she allegedly admitted to not having a license. Gates reported that after running Lamb’s identification through ATLAS, it showed Lamb had a previous possession of drug charges and a suspended license. Gates then got his K-9 Dugo to do an open-air sniff on the pickup and Dugo alerted on the driver door.

As reported, Gates had Lamb exit the vehicle while he searched the vehicle but nothing illegal was found. Gates then arrested Lamb for driving on a suspended license and transported her to the Pike County Jail. Gates reported that he noticed Lamb moving around a lot in the seat on his rear seat camera. After Gates walked Lamb in for booking, he reportedly went back to check his rear seat and raised the seat where he found a small baggie with suspected methamphetamine inside. Lamb was charged with Possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license.
